Transition Town Hastings were involved in a new campaign for local energy the benefits our community.
The campaign focused on:
- Local generation of renewable energy.
- Local ownership for community benefit.
- Affordable energy through lower price of locally generated energy, innovative finance (buying clubs etc) and energy efficiency measures.
- Knowledge and information sharing.
The Transition Town energy group met monthly to work on ideas for locally owned renewable energy and related projects.
